Early Life
Riaan Benadé was born in Pretoria, the capital of South Africa, in 1992. He spent his childhood years on his family’s farm, Nylstroom. His family, the Benadés, are highly regarded in Nylstroom. At the high school, his Ouma was a popular music teacher.
When she was fifteen, the vocalist started writing songs. He then knew he wanted to do music and went to learn it. Consistency helped him develop his talent in his twenties.

Riaan majored in jazz and light music. As a music student, he delighted in learning from his peers.

Melissa Benadé is the wife to Riaan Benadé, who is a practicing attorney. In 2022, the couple had their daughter, Lucca Benadé. He takes lots of pictures of his time spent in the wild as he loves nature.
He suffered a stroke in July 2023 and was admitted in Kloof Hospital. His physicians told him that upon discharge he had not developed new symptoms and all his symptoms were gone.
